Siegel said a good air purifier can also help clear out coronavirus particles and reduce the air's viral load. But air purifiers need to be efficient and sized appropriately for the space they are in.
An $800 Dyson air purifier we tested doesn't clean your air as well as some less-expensive products.
Dyson air purifiers consistently test lower than other air purifiers; Consumer Reports tested the Dyson TP04 Pure Cool Air Purifier and found it "One of the worst-rated air purifiers in CR's [CADR] tests, despite being one of the most expensive."
"We are, we think, delivering quite a good value proposition for the consumer," he said, stressing that Dyson purifiers can sense pollutants in the air as well as capture them, and also provide strong air projection.
"CADR is what you want to know, period," said Francis Offermann, an indoor air quality researcher who has helped develop test methods for the performance of portable air cleaners with the American Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers.
An indoor air scientist explains what you can do to keep your home's air clean without buying a purifier.

Lock downs/Covid/Todays Day And Time.

I don't think we need a lock down, well not exactly/we need a PLAN.
MOST people don't need to lose their jobs/income/hours don't need to be cut.
More info, and I know its A LOT, but a good plan/a plan that goes indepth/fixes a problem/helps a lot, requires depth/a lot of pieces have to go into it.
Also a lot of this answers/addresses, A LOT of other questions/concerns as well.
I honestly don't see anything wrong with lock downs. Meaning EVERYTHING/MOST things are DIGITAL, NOW DAYS ANYWAY, and what TRULY isn't, can be deemed essential, meaning ANYONE that works with a physical product, a computer doesn't count, UNLESS, your maintaining servers HARDWARE/if you can remote access it, that doesn't count, also Maintaining internet, also the electric companies, field workers/maintenance workers, ARE ESSENTIAL, the desk workers are not essential/don't need to leave their homes/they can use VOIP/the internet/email/portals/Zoom/some other service like SKYPE, JUST LIKE ALL OF THE OTHER, AT HOME WORKERS, other essential workers, Fedex,UPS,USPS, also if you work in a warehouse, grocery store, TO PREPARE, groceries/other products, for delivery/for doordash/instacart/stock shelves/unload trucks, if your an RN,LPN,CNA,DR,surgeon, Ambulance driver, police officer, if you need to be at a vet, to receive dogs/cats/animals, also CERTAIN medical procedures/care, is permitted, WITH the RIGHT PPE, such as respirators/hazmat suits. Also SOME garage doodoor services are essential, such as medical garage doors.
Anyway a lock down, MEANS NOTHING/NOTHINGS changed, other than HOW WE DO BUSINESS, WHICH IS A LOT MORE EFFICIENT, ANYWAY, meaning less gas is being used in vehicles, less TIME IS BEING WASTED, while driving to a location, the business, is still happening though, A LOT of the money lost, in the oil fields, can be transferred over to the renewable resources field, such as solar panels, wind turbines, water mills, batteries and so on, the way the worlds going anyway/BP, sees it/has invested a lot into renewable energy.
You don't NEED to leave your house to work, unless you work with a physical product.
Also your house most likely has more, than anywhere else anyway, meaning I have, computers/gaming consoles,tvs/monitors,blurays,internet/streaming services, such as Netflix,Hulu,Hbo,starz, books, pdfs and physical books, and so on, I have workout equipment, hair clippers.
I really have, no need, to leave my house, doordash/walmart/fedex/UPS/USPS/Amazon, deliver, what ever I need, and I also keep things stored, as well, JUST IN CASE.
Honestly to go out, is A LOT MORE, inconvenient, than staying home.
Other concerns/things, people have asked/my answers, to other issues, people have talked about:
I would prefer kids to be able to live a long life/SOME sacrifices are needed.
Also Vitamin D supplements is an option.
I have air purifiers/filters in my house/the air in my house, is definitely a lot cleaner, than whats outside.
I also have a treadmill/a full gym,but work out bands are an option, mine go up to 1000pounds/resistance.
I'd prefer lives to be saved/a few sacrifices are worth it, to be honest.
Honestly nothings wrong with kids going outside, in their back yards, also ZOOM/Skype,Google DUO,Facetime and so on, is available for friends and family, ALSO, if you get your family to quarantine, for 20 to 30 days/not go out, for that period of time, they can stay with you or vice verse, meaning contact doesn't have to stop, if all rules are being met/your not exposed.
Also MOST kids are involved/doing virtual learning, right now/some were doing this, before any of this, and as long as the rest, of that family is doing the same/working from home, their safe as well.
Granted, SOME cases of Covid are asymptomtaic/SOME people can have covid and never show any signs, but at the same time, 30 to 40days SHOULD be long enough, not to worrie.
Also, regulations SHOULD be made, with in business, to prevent job loss/SHOW/Inlighten, companies/show them how business is done, in todays day and time/show them how the digital world works.
If your an essential workesomeone that works in a warehouse/grocery store/stockeunloading trucks/fills orders/ANY of the jobs/types of jobs that I mentioned, than, YOU SHOULDN'T LOOSE YOUR JOB, ANYWAY.
Also SOME jobs/services AREN'T black and white, MEANING, SOME JOBS, MAY be essential, so an appealing process/through court/Zoom, SHOULD be available, to people, with no cost, to the person applying for it.
If you work in a restaurant/fast food, than, MAYBE one day, the food/bar industry will bounce back/after the Pandemic, SOME people are still using Uber Eats, I'M NOT, but SOME people are.
Also Salons/Barbershops, is ANOTHER industry, that is NOT essential right now.
Also entertainers/entertainment/big gathering and so on, are NOT essential.
You could also check out door dash/Instacart, IF your in the food/restaurant industry.
For these type workers, waiting for stimulus, is about all you can do, or like i said switch to door dash, or something like that/look at whats viable RIGHT NOW.
This is another reply/answe other parts to the solution/problem:
definitely the biggest problem, and thats where the military needs to step up/step in.
Also it is really easy to transfer any business over to complete digital, atleast when it comes to the payments/transactions/deliverie, parts of the business. Parts of the business, MAY not be digital though/ certain parts, MAY, can't be digital, such as the parts of the business, that work with a physical product, those are essential workers, grocery stores, shouldn't be open, to the public, but their workers are definitely essential, to unload trucks, stock shelves, prepare orders, for pick up, either by customers, that have to sit in their car, with the trunk open, or doordash/instacart drivers/deliveries or to a spot/person/bicycle.
To do this for SOME people, kiosks, installed outside walmart, so people can put their orders in, and they would be cleaned, periodically as well and sanitizer dispensers would be available as well.
Also this is what servers/VOIP/E-mail/portals/websites/apps/Skype or zoom and so on,are fothese tools allow ANYONE to work remotely.
Unless your business is already broken/your using papeenvelopes/stamps/Ink/printers/huge filing cabinets/paper calenders, huge adding machines/have no online presents/website/server.
In this case, you will SOON turn into Sears,Kmart,ToysRUs,Sports Authority,Hifi Buy,Circuit City, AND SOON GameStop.
We now have the ability to pay our bills through apps/setup auto pay.
We bank through apps, we can even deposit checks through apps, but most things are direct deposited, now days anyway, and if you use a check, MOST OF THE TIME, its handed back to you, after your transaction, and is baisicly ran as a debit/the money is taken out of your account, at the time of purchase/right away.
Anyway things are done A LOT MORE EFFICIENT, NOW DAYS.
The hardest part, is definitely going to be, the part, where the government, NEEDS, to enforce all of this and issue fines and FUTURE jail time, but at the moment, issue the digital fines and escort them back to their homes.
Court now days, is also done through zoom/digitally.
Anyway ALL of this is definitely doable, and the Military/government needs to help the people, that cant take care of them selves/that don't have access to wate food to eat/a place to live, also do this safely as well/with the proper PPE gear on, gas masks, with the right filters/the virus protecting filters.
This would definitely help A LOT.
Also this is ONE thing, I didn't mention, I believe in rights/everyone should be able to choose, UNLESS, someone is being hurt, other than the person that chose to do something.
I think spreading covid/infected people/potentially killing old people/technically any aged person, is not right/as long as your not hurting anyone, than, I believe that people have the right, to do, what ever they want.
Also another issue, thats been brought up A LOT:
Mental health is an issue, but like I've also stated, to quarantine/be safe, you don't have to isolate AND DEFINITELY NOT FOREVER, meaning, you can be with people, as long as either, you were together, since the beginning, OR two, both people isolate them selves for 30 to 40 days.
You still have skype/zoom/entertainment/the ability to workout from home, ALSO a back yard or like me, a lot of property to walk on/look around/enjoy/you can still go outside, I have fences and gates, so I don't have to worrie about people walking up/driving up on me, but A LOT can be done from home.
The issues with suicide/abuse and so on, WERE MOST LIKELY ALREADY an issue with these people, BEFORE, ANY OF THIS, this just probably brought it out MORE/showed the issues in their relationships/minds, that were there, before any of this, meaning, being around a person for long periods of time/not having alone time, CAN/COULD cause problems, I say to that, EVERYONE, needs a place, where they can go and relax/unwind/decompress.
I have a few places like that, my man cave/gaming area, my projector room, where I can game or watch movies, my gym, I also have my office, and thats where I work.
My wife has her office and her arts and crafts room and a lady cave/where she can game, watch movies and decompress.
Mental health is a problem, but its a separate problem/an existing problem, IN MOST CASES.
Zoom/skype/Google DUO/facetime, CAN/COULD definitely be used to talk to a therapist, it might not be ideal, but it CAN definitely help.
Also if abuse is the issue, MAKE A PLAN/contact authorities discreetly/I know that can be a hard/a tricky situation.
I'm not saying mental health isn't real, but MOST LIKELY, it was already an issue BEFORE covid, anxiety or what ever it might be.
Therapy/medication OR a mental health facility, MAY be whats needed, for that.

Translation for TVLIFE.jp interview on 10 Feb 2021. (Text too long to put neatly in comments in previous post, so I'm creating a new one)

Attempted Translation.
While projecting cute maids' world view, BAND-MAID performs hard rock with a high level of skill. For this, their debut interview on TV LIFE web, we asked the five members to talk about their latest album "Unseen World," which is currently on sale, as well as the charm of the band.
Interviewer: What are your favourite songs / recommendations on the new album - Unseen World?
MISA: "I still seek revenge". For this song, I decided to actively include slapping, which I rarely used in the past. When it came time to playing the entire song once through, I had very hard time. It'll be a difficult song to perform live because it uses a lot of muscles, but I put a lot of energy and thought into it when I recorded it.
Akane: I want to recommend "BLACK HOLE". This is the fastest ever song by BAND-MAID. We've tried fast-paced songs before, but this one is so fast that it's like, "Wow, we've reached this stage! . But I feel the sense of accomplishment when I did it, and I think it's a song I could only do now [not before]. It was very hard work, but I think the accumulated effort and the finger training during the stay-home period came to the fore.
Kobato: Akane has been practicing a lot-po. I choose "Sayonakidori", where I do the main vocals-po. I was happy to have a Kobato-main song after almost 3 years-po, and I think it's unique in the album because it' has a different feel from the other songs-po. The highest notes of the song are high and it was hard to sing, but I don't think I could have done it in the past. I think it's the result of accumulated effort and this song lets me feel that I have grown-po.
Saiki: "Manners". It's a song with a strong message, and I think it represents the current BAND-MAID well. It was the final song written for the album and is a bridge linking the two themes of this album - "Return to the Roots" and "Progress from the Present".
Kanami: That's right. I recommend "Youth". In the early days of BAND-MAID, there were a lot of songs that highlighted twin vocals, but we haven't made any songs like that recently. I wrote this song because I wanted to write a song featuring twin vocals after such a long time. It's been a while since I've been able to write a song that has this kind of atmosphere, and I personally enjoyed working on it a lot.

Interviewer: What are you particular about in the songwriting and song production process?
Kanami: Basically, I make an outline of the song and then ask the members to arrange and write the lyrics, but I personally emphasise on the riffs and melodies. I try to create songs that will linger in the ears [head] of the masters and princesses.
Saiki: I think first and foremost about how to let masters and princesses enjoy and "feel" the Okuiji the most. So I decide what kind of songs I want based on how I want the Okyuji to be. I am very aware of all that when deciding on a set list for Okyuji.
Kobato: I write the lyrics and while BAND-MAID's songs often have a melancholic feel to them, I believe that people can feel the strength of will and conviction also-po. There are many kinds of willpower and in this album, I tried to express a variety of such willpower-po.
Akane: I emphasise on the rhythm that accompanies the vocalist's voice. The drum rhythms are intense with more notes added, but at the same time, I take care to complement and bring out the vocals.
MISA: I may be slightly similar. Personally, I don't want to make the bass line monotonous, but rather make it interesting to listen to. I include flat picks [?] and other details that I'm particular about.

Interviewer: Simply put, what do you think is the charm / appeal of BAND-MAID?
Kobato: I think it's the "gap" between the cute maid outfits and the cool music-po. This is a strength that only BAND-MAID has-po!
MISA: That's right. Also, our characters are all different. We all have different personalities, and we all like different music.
Akane: Our roots leading up to this point are different, and none of us have been in a hard rock band before. And yet, we are able to make hard rock music with these members, which seems like a strength in a sense.
Kanami: That's right. Speaking of "gaps", I feel that each of us has our own gap.
Kobato: Kanami is usually very "fluffy" [fuwa fuwa], but when she holds a guitar, she becomes very aggressive and abrasive and does crazy things-po. She kicked cymbals with her feet and drank MISA's stage drink, whiskey-po.
Saiki: And, you have no recollection of that, right?
Kanami: Yeah... I think there are those amongst us that will want to do things like that when the adrenalin starts pumping.
Kobato: That would be you-po!
Kanami: Fufufu... Saiki (seems like) the cool and "S" [Domineering] type, but she's actually incredibly caring and kind!
Kobato: Kanami loves Saiki-po. Also, when she [Saiki] gets drunk, she laughs a lot and talks a lot, which makes her very cute-po.
Saiki: That's because... I'm unable to talk without drinking first .
Kobato: On stage, she's cool and sexy, and she's always telling the masters and princesses, "You can do better than that!" in a cool manner. She really knows how to work up a crowd-po.
Kanami: Kobato is always going "po po po", so I wonder if she's actually "po po po" in the head as well...
Other 4: What's that supposed to mean?!
Kanami: [But] She's actually very studious and hardworking, and possesses a strong sense of duty.
Saiki: Yep. She returns favours in the most considerate manner.
MISA: For example, if you do something for her, she will definitely do something more for you in return, "plus alpha" [Note: something beyond or in addition to what is expected], and you'll definitely be very happy.
Akane: She is [looks] so cute, but her actions are amazingly "ikemen" [Note: Cool/handsome, desirable guy]!
MISA: But, the things she likes to eat... [Note: Hard to translate, take it as not something young people or common people will appreciate], and she likes things such as Horseracing... so on the inside she is like an old middle-aged man... .
Kanami: So she's an "Ike-Oji" [Combining "Ikemen" and "Ojisan", so a cool, desirable middle-aged man]. Like a "Gentleman".
Kobato: I'm happy to be referred to as a "Gentleman"-po!
Akane: She lends me her shoulder to sleep on when I'm sleepy, and she has a big capacity for acceptance [Note: troubles, cares?]. She really is an "Ike-Oji"!
Kobato: I guess you can call me the "Ike-Oji" pigeon now-po... . Akane...
Akane: I think I am just as I appear... but is there something?
Kobato: At first I had the impression that you were intelligent and had your head firmly on your shoulders-po.
Saiki: But in actuality, it's the complete opposite!
MISA: You're really bad at math, and your geography is a little strange too.
Kanami: But for drums, she can properly count the bars.
Saiki: It's fine when drums are involved, but when they aren't it is hopeless .
Kobato: Yeah, we have to shout "Akane! Get your act together!" or something similar once every two days or so-po .
Kanami: And... she has a lot of friends!
Saiki: She's the most personable and sociable.
Kobato: Most of our members are shy, but Akane is always willing to talk to anyone, which is always helpful-po.
Akane: I don't get nervous talking to new people for the first time. But to stand in front of people to talk, or have many people looking at me...
Kobato: But that means you can't handle the stage-po!
MISA: It's alright because drums are involved .
Saiki: So that's indeed how it works . Ah, I didn't think of it because it's already so obvious to us, but she eats a lot.
Other 4: That's it!
Akane: With Gastroptosis [Note: Not sure if she is using the term in jest or if she really has this condition], I can finish 30 plates of sushi or 3 cups of rice [note: about 1kg or 9 Japanese rice bowls, after cooking] in one go!
Kobato: By the way, MISA's stage drink is Whiskey, straight. That might surprise people-po.
Saiki: She really drinks it, so she drunk by the end of the Okyuji .
Kanami: Her stage drink is alcohol, but her personality is the purest. Pure and untainted!
Kobato: At first glance, you might think she's the "darkest", but she's actually the "whitest"-po. She's the sweetest and the most girly-po.
Saiki: Whenever she eats something delicious, her eyes would widen in delight, just like a small child when they eat their favorite food. She will also squeal and say "Delicious!". It's so cute!
Kanami: She has a baby-like cuteness that makes me want to ask "What's wrong, MISA?" and makes me want to take care of her.
Kobato: Her presence is truly healing. She is BAND-MAID's air purifier-po!
MISA: Thank you! I don't usually get told such things so I'm very happy but kind of embarrassed...

Interviewer: Lastly, please leave a message for the masters and princesses [fans]!

MISA: I can't wait to meet everyone. I want to play while seeing everyone's faces and deliver my music directly to them. Please wait until the day we can perform live.
Akane: Now that we can't perform live, we would like to do what we can to reach out to our fans. We'll do our best to grow day by day, so please watch over us!
Saiki: Whenever you are feeling down or in pain, we'll be happy if you listen to our songs to keep your spirits up. It'd be nice if our songs can give you a little push to keep you going.
Kobato: The world is currently in turmoil due to COVID-19, but BAND-MAID will continue to work hard to achieve our dream of World domination-po. I'd be happy if you continue by our side to conquer the world-po!
Kanami: We just released an album recently, but we're already writing more and more new songs. We'll do our best to make BAND-MAID's songs energize you, masters and princesses, so please let's do our best together!

‘The Death Market’: Oxygen Shortage Leaves Mexicans to Die at Home

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 84%. (I'm a bot)
People with no cash offer him their cars instead.Juan Carlos Hernández tells them all the same thing: He has no oxygen tanks left.
Part of the reason so many more people are dying now, doctors and government officials say, is the shortage: There are simply not enough oxygen tanks.
"You see people arrive with their tanks and they want to get in front of the line and they end up crying, they're desperate," he said, recalling the pleas he heard: "My father is at 60 percent oxygen saturation. My brother is at 50 percent saturation. My wife can no longer breathe. She's turning blue, her lips are blue, help me."
After his grandmother fell ill after Christmas, Miguel Ángel Maldonado Hernández borrowed about $800 from friends to pay an unlicensed seller $1,600 for an oxygen concentrator - a machine that takes in air and pumps out purified oxygen.
The government has sent the Mexican National Guard to protect trucks transporting oxygen tanks and required suppliers to prioritize oxygen produced for human consumption over industrial oxygen used by companies.
Mexico doesn't produce oxygen tanks and can't import them from the United States right now.

Always Tired but Only at Specific House

Hi I'm a 6'3" 20yo 160lb male, with no diagnosed medical conditions, no medication, and do not use drugs or smoke. For college this year I moved into a house with a few friends and have noticed that I was always tired when I was in this house. I would have extreme difficulty getting up in the morning, I would wake up a lot during the night, and even on nights I didnt wake up I would wake up tired and be tired throughout the day. At first I never thought much of it, I just thought it was due to late nights studying or not getting enough sleep. However, when I went back home over break I noticed how much better I felt. I woke up feeling rested, and wasn't tired throughout the day. I was able to get stuff done, go workout every day, do chores around the house etc. I was able to get out of bed extremely easily in the morning at home(for reference im normally a morning person, I love getting up early and my friends use to even make fun of me for waking up so much earlier than them. But now im lucky to get out of bed before 10am).
At school I try to get 7+ hours of sleep every night, most nights I will get 8 or 9, so it wouldnt be from lack of sleep. But, I never feel like I have enough energy to workout at school compared to when im home. In the morning after I finally get out of bed I have energy for maybe 3 hours of the day and then im yawning again and feel incredibly tired. The main thing is that this doesnt happen to me normally when I'm at home with my family, only at my house off-campus for college. And none of my other roommates have this issue.
I have tried a few things so far. Read about it possibly being some vitamin deficiency (I am indoors a lot because of school and COVID) however I take a multivitamin everyday(even though I dont think theyre needed) which contains things like Vitamin-B and Vitamin-D. I thought it could be due to poor air quality in the house (this house can be extremely dusty) so I bought an air purifier and keep fans running to try and keep decent air circulation in my room, but that has had no effect. I try to eat decently, Its hard with only campus food but its not like I'm drinking soda and eating chips constantly. I've also increased my water intake as some things I have read have claimed that dehydration could cause fatigue. But so far nothing seems to have worked. My room also does not get a lot of natural light so I thought it could be an issue with the body not recognizing daylight etc and still being tired. So I have a wireless HUE lightbulb that I have set to turn on in the morning with my alarm. It will slowly ramp up its brightness 30 minutes before to simulate sunrise and then be at full brightness when my alarm goes off. But this has not helped at all. Most days I end up waking up much before my alarm even goes off. For example, today I had my alarm set for 9 and woke up at 7 naturally, then went back to sleep and woke up again with my alarm.
If anyone else has any advice on what I could do, or if anyone has any experience with this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

What Do Eco-Friendly Office Cleaning Products Look Like in 2021?

The toxic nature of cleaning chemicals is incentive to do what we can to use eco-friendly alternatives.
There are tremendous benefits to switching to eco-friendly cleaners and cleaning techniques, including most notably it being safer than the use of chemicals which are not only damaging to the environment but also to other human beings in the office.
Steam, for example, is a safe and effective way to clean carpets, bathrooms, and general materials.
This involves no use of chemicals and is equally effective in a lot of cases, merely through the power of moisture and warmth. By using steam cleaning instead of more abrasive toxic ingredients, you save on risk and waste.
What Are the Most Eco-Friendly Cleaners?
You may see buzzwords like ‘all-natural’ and ‘eco-friendly’ used on cleaners but this doesn’t necessarily indicate that a product is chemical-free or toxin-free.
The most eco-friendly cleaners are those that are made without the use of or with minimal chemicals.
There are eco-friendly office cleaning products for almost every product, from disinfectants/sanitizers to floor cleaners, liquid deodorizers, degreasers, and more. There are homemade cleaners as well, using combinations of dish soap, water, vinegar, and/or baking soda.
Eco-friending cleaning procedures and a committed eco-friendly office cleaning plan may include any of the following.
Are Eco-Friendly Cleaners Less Effective And More Expensive?
Two common misconceptions about eco-friendly cleaners are that they’re more expensive and less effective.
Are green cleaners more expensive – sometimes. It depends on the brand. They aren’t more expensive simply by type. Plenty of eco-friendly cleaners are at similar price points as their conventional counterparts.
Are green cleaners less effective – not inherently, no. Natural cleaners do an exceptionally excellent job at a lot of general office cleaning. For deeper, more abrasive cleaning, you may require concentrated chemicals. This is very rare in a general office setting though, at least considering day-to-day cleaning expectations.
Can Tech Help My Office Become More Eco-Friendly in its Cleaning?
Eco-friendly cleaning tech was already trending before the COVID-19 pandemic but today, pandemic-inspired technology has hit in a big way with several leading tech companies advertising new products that could help offices clean faster and more effectively.
LED disinfectant lights use UV rays to sanitize and clean common areas such as a computer keyboard.
Portable UV light cleaners and UV light cleaning technology are making it a possibility to wholly sanitize an office without involving any manpower or chemicals, though we aren’t quite all the way there yet.
Then, there’s the uptake of touchless and voice-activated cleaning products such as hand sanitizers, trash cans, and light switches. These parts of a workplace can easily gather germs, bacteria, and viruses, transferring them between people.
Robot vacuums have advanced to the point where they can carry soapy water or sanitization liquid in them alongside a self-cleaning brush. Through regular floor cleanings, less abrasive cleaning is required long-term.
The adoption of AI in appliances such as washers and dryers are also making it possible to automate certain steps in cleaning.
One day, it’s not unreasonable to think that your average office will get to the point where cleaning’s as simple as flicking a switch on the wall at the end of the day to put a team of automated robots to work for you.
Coming out of CES 2021, several high-tech air purifiers have captured consumer attention. Air purifiers remove aerosol particles hanging in air – including those of COVID-19. Although they cannot guarantee with certainty no transfer of a virus like COVID-19, they can greatly reduce the likelihood of spread through effective air filtration.
There’s also been recent research published on the subject of nanobubbles, which are in development to provide chemical-free cleaning on food surfaces. Oxygen-filled nanobubbles 2,500 times smaller than a grain of salt are enough to disrupt microbial biofilms on surfaces, eliminating them outright.
Though each of these tech-based developments may be at different stages, they’re making it possible for more people to toss out toxic, chemical-ridden cleaners that are no longer a requirement in office cleaning.
All in all, the future looks very bright. More eco-friendly cleaning. More high-tech cleaning products. More ways to clean an office or commercial setting that is safe and healthy for employees, pets, and the environment.
Order the best eco-friendly cleaners in Canada today from Genesis Supplies. High-quality, eco-friendly, pet-safe, and non-toxic, have everything you need to keep your office safe from bacteria, germs, viruses like COVID-19, and more. Visit us today to learn more.

MIL-Give an Inch

My MIL and I (27f) have had a turbulent relationship basically the entire time my husband (29m) and I have been together. MIL have different taste in just about everything. She was raised a traditional southern woman and needs a man for everything. I was raised by a single mom so I find I can do most things for myself but its nice to have help from my husband. MIL and FIL divorced around the time we started dating. The divorce was very hard on my husband and it send him down a path of excessive drinking and partying. We started dating and he was able to work through his emotions and come out the other side a great partner and father. His mother has always blamed me for him distancing himself during “the time she needed him most”. He has tried to tell her that he couldn’t deal with her emotions and his but she chooses to blame me. We’ve worked in and out of issues over the past few years. She is a very demanding person and honestly pretty exhausting to be around. Whenever we would go visit her she would give us chores to do. Examples:Take out the trash, walk the dog, move stuff in her house around, clean out her fridge, chop up her fruit, call her cable provider to come check out her internet to list a few. She’s not in any was incapable of doing these things herself just thinks we should do them for her. I eventually just told her that we go over to visit her not to do chores. She responded with well if my husband came over more often we would have less stuff to do. Our relationship really went down from there. When my husband and I finally got pregnant she would make comments about how big I had gotten example” I knew you would be big pregnant” or other variations of this. It didn’t feel good but I brushed it off. She also told my husbands cousin that I would try to keep my son away from her. My whole view is the more people to love my son the better. We worked past everything when I brought up my grievances with her. It took me a long time to bring it up because my husband doesn’t enjoy confrontation while I’m a very direct person and I would rather be able to clear the air and move forward.I found we both had a lot of hurt in both sides. We’ve moved past it and my son was born during the pandemic. He was born at 35 weeks and spent a week in the Nicu. So I was overly cautious until he was a little older when I felt I could slowly introduce him to people who were being safe. His mom met our son once at four months old and when he was six months we would go over once a week (she’s retired and we all wore masks). When things started getting really bad in our area we decided to limit any unnecessary interactions and opted for face time calls.Right before Christmas she started feeling sick and eventually it was revealed she had COVID. She apparently wasn’t being safe. She was traveling ,going to the nails salon, getting massages and wasn’t wearing her mask properly. She was in the hospital with double blown pneumonia in her lungs and kidneys failure. She made it out and had been home getting better. I was there to let in all of the vendors for her house to get cleaned, carpets to get cleaned and her air was even purified by a company that specializes in covid cleaning. When she got out I told her we didn’t want to do anything in person but we would happily get groceries and run errands twice a week for her. Recently she wanted my husband to take her dog from the kennel to his brothers ( can’t really help he’s legally blind) house for a month. She had my husband come by in person so she could see her dog and talk with my husband. This upset me because I had told her multiple times we didn’t want to see her in person but she guilted my husband into it anyway. She also been sending us groceries list and expecting us to come right then and there. We have a baby it’s just not as simple as walking out the door. It’s also every day. One day it’s groceries, the next it’s a prescription then it’s please bring me IHOP. It just goes on and I feel like the bad guy because she recovering and my husband and I are spending our free time running back in forth. I have a lot of respect for my husband and I would want this done for my mom but she is no where near as demanding as my husbands mom. Do I grin and bear it or asked her to condense the the trips down? Asking her to tone down the trips is sure to stir everything up with his family. Who will happily give our time but aren’t as easily accessible with theirs. Also my husband’s cousin helps out too.
Edit* My MIL gets her groceries delivered at least once a week. I did offer to run errands for her once a week on Wednesday or Thursday. This has been disregarded and we’re just sent a txt from his cousin as his mom needs things. My husband understands my view mostly because we both get frustrated with the lack of planning on his moms part but he thinks we should take care of her because that’s his mom. I will definitely be looking into getting her prescription delivered though. His cousin will often drop off food or Send food through a delivers service. We are all just extra hands.

Southeast Asian moving to Bangkok - help with living cost estimations?

This is a bit of a long post, sorry! I just want to be as detailed as possible to make it easy for you kind folk! :)
I'm currently at the offer stage for a role that will cover relocation to Bangkok. Unless I mess this up royally, I need to start preparing realistically for this move. I know this topic comes up a lot on this sub and have done a lot of basic research, but would like some guidance on living expectations that fit my lifestyle. I'm a bit of an introvert and used to living in a polluted city with crazy traffic (hello Manila!) and most of the topics about living costs in this sub are from those moving from non Asian countries, so hoping to find some answers that I can relate more to.
Very quick profile: I just turned 30, female, Southeast Asian, have never worked outside the country although I've traveled to Bangkok numerous times for vacation before the pandemic; I can count, do basic greetings and shop (e.g. ask for discounts, how much, etc) in Thai but that's much about it, not sure how helpful this will be in living there full time!
These are my monthly expenses that I roughly estimated, with my verbal offer at 90k THB monthly. The company will be covering 1 to 2 month's of accommodation + my flight to Bangkok so I have a month minimum to budget everything after landing. How realistic are these numbers in comparison to my lifestyle and needs?
Also, how is Thailand managing the COVID-19 crisis? I know the number of deaths is not that high compared to my home country (Philippines), but how has the pandemic impacted everyone's way of life other than needing to wear face masks, sanitize always, and practice social distancing? Like for example, going to the gym and swimming in the pool here is almost like a death sentence, is it similar in Bangkok?
Thanks in advance to everyone who answers! :)

Ive been big on $OPTI for quite some time (JUNE 2020) and have made great gains here. If you are looking for an OTC stock to play, this could be your huckleberry. Its been running up lately due to the investor call on 12/29 and people are expecting details on the $2 billion PPE deal as well as the "several" others being arranged. The transparency everyone has been waiting for.
Negatives are this stock was hit this Summer by toxic dilution as Restricted shares became Unrestricted. With how low OPTI stock went, these investors wanted out when this popped. Effectively driving the price right back down to where it started. It bounced a few times between then and now giving people 100% gains again and again after the 400% run.
Good news is the dilution is done, no reverse splits in the future and talks of share retirement, per CEO and investor RB Capital. This has really helped in its most recent push into the conference. With overall investor sentiment this thing may go parabolic on Monday and Tuesday. Kevin Harrington will be on the call as well as the CEO https://twitter.com/HarringtonKevin/status/1341079632276275202.
I have more confidence in this stocks growth potential than any other stock I own. I suggest you do your own DD but here's a place to start.

NOTABLE BOARD MEMBERS
Dr Drew Pinsky
David Drew Pinsky (born September 4, 1958 ), commonly known as Dr. Drew, is an American media personality and internist, addiction medicine specialist. He hosted the nationally syndicated radio talk show Loveline from the show's inception in 1984 until its end in 2016. On television, he hosted the talk show Dr. Drew On Call on HLN and the daytime series Lifechangers on The CW. In addition, he served as producer and starred in the VH1 show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, and its spinoffs Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew
Kevin Harrington:
His ability to commercialize globally and the success of having done it before. Notice the news immediately following his joining the board is about "re-opening" and what they offer the world. Get ready for more news on a regular basis. I fully believe he had a lot to do with the most recent $2 BILLION deal.
David Ojeda:
Who better to bring in to establish the legitimacy of your online sales as well as the knowledge to be at the front of production, distribution and website presentation? That's right, a former Senior Amazon Exec!

In closing, OPTI is set to uplist to OTCQB status 1st quarter and expects to uplist to Nasdaq by the end of the year or beginning of 2022, per CEO. Growth is the focus for this company and when their EV play comes to fruition I believe this stock can be a game changer. As always, do your DD and feel free to ask questions. This stock has all the risks related to any stock and this is not financial advice. Just my opinion.

NATO weapons used by Azerbaijan during war

French paper AgoraVox reports that the 44-day war was the first time when a NATO member-state (Czechia) supplied attack weapons to an active conflict zone. "It violated an internal agreement about members staying out of such conflicts."
In 2018, Azerbaijan displayed the Czech-made Howitzer artillery units attached to mobile vehicles. It raised a wave of protest in Czechia, so the Czech govt quickly denied supplying weapons to Azerbaijan, claiming that the Czech arms company supplied those weapons to Israel instead.
Journalists found that the Czech and Slovakian arms companies had earlier attempted to obtain a license from Czechia to supply weapons to Azerbaijan, but they weren't granted one.
Journalists found that 54 "Tatra" units were shipped to Israel, equipped with modern tech, then shipped to Slovakia where the units were equipped with another modern tech before being shipped to Azerbaijan.

Biden's State Secretary pick Anthony Blinken about Artsakh conflict:

The US will review its security assistance to Azerbaijan after the recent Artsakh war, wrote Anthony Blinten to Senator Bob Menendez.
"I'm deeply concerned about the resumption of hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan last autumn and the humanitarian crisis in and around Nagorno-Karabakh. I strongly support US funding for demining efforts in Nagorno-Karabakh. I will work with the Congress, USAID, the UN, and the allies around the humanitarian issues."
Sen. Menendez: how will the US help Armenians defend against Turkish-Azeri aggression?
Blinken: I support assistance to Armenia in strengthening security, stability, democratic governance, and promoting economic growth. Our administration will review the US security assistance to Azerbaijan. We will determine the appropriate level of assistance to meet the security needs of Armenia and the region.
Sen. Menendez: how will the US be involved in OCSE Minsk Group work in a way that will also reflect the interest of Armenians?
Blinken: President Biden said that the US should make diplomatic efforts to find a lasting solution to the conflict while working with our European partners. We should provide international humanitarian assistance to end the suffering. We will intensify the US involvement to find a permanent solution and protect Nagorno-Karabakh security.

I wish you and your administration success.

Foreign Ministry responds to pro-Armenian resolution passed in European Parliament

Yesterday the European Parliament adopted two resolutions condemning the use of illegal weapons in Artsakh, Turkey's intervention, the use of jihadists, and called for securing the Armenian population's existence in Artsakh.
Armenian Foreign Ministry: Armenia gives great significance to the resolutions condemning Turkey's import of armed mercenaries from Syria and elsewhere. It contained information about the war crimes committed by Azerbaijan, and steps to eliminate the consequences. It's very important that it not only condemns the war crimes but also calls for them not to remain unpunished.

rumors & rebuttals: Pashinyan's statement about Shushi

Pashinyan was accused of saying that Shushi isn't an Armenian city.
InfoCenter: an MP criticized Pashinyan [for not agreeing to give away Artsakh regions earlier in war], which would "keep Shushi Armenian." In response to that last phrase, Pashinyan answered that soviet-era demographics would need to be restored under which Azeris would be 90% of the Shushi population.
QP MP: The Prime Minister's speech was distorted in the press and in the speeches of various opposition politicians. Before the war, 90% of the Shushi population was Azeri. Therefore, if we agreed to hand over Shushi, we would end up with Shushi having a 90% Azeri population. Would Shushi remain "Armenian" under de-facto Azeri control? That is what the PM said.

Parliament votes to elect two Supreme Court judges

QP Party nominated former prosecutor Gagik Jhangiryan and Davit Khachatryan for Supreme Court Council seats (not to be confused with Constitutional Court). MPs asked questions to learn the candidate's stance on various issues before voting.
Parliament's legal affairs committee chief says Jhangiryan's age does not disqualify him from becoming a member because he is appointed by Parliament and not fellow judges.
Opposition LHK and BHK decided not to participate in the Q&A and voting. They complained that the opposition's opinion was ignored while selecting the candidates due to "political games". "We have no problem with the candidates from a professional point of view. Both are professional," said LHK MP Taron Simonyan.
BHK also left the room. BHK MP Tonoyan believes the Parliament should not discuss topics unrelated to humanitarian and POW issues.
Ind. MP: when [former regime members] were making assassination threats, the judges were releasing them back to the streets. The Supreme Court chief even made a statement urging judges to do so. Your opinion?
Candidate Jhangiryan: I don't know details of those exact cases and justification behind no-arrest verdicts. I won't give political opinions. If a case is launched within Supreme Court regarding that topic, I will give my professional opinion. Of course, there should be mechanisms to prevent violence.
MP to candidates: do you support the idea of merging Supreme Court Council and Constitutional courts to create one unified Supreme Court? (Context: in 2020 an expert group tasked with discussing Constitutional reforms voted 8-7 to support the idea of a merger)
Candidate Jhangiryan: No. The two are established institutes. If there are problems with them, they should be fixed separately.
Candidate Khachatryan: Yes, I support the merger.
MP asks: your opinion about judges being independent.
Candidate Jhangiryan: lower court judges should be independent of higher court judges and wealthy entities while making decisions. The system must be free not only from executive and legislative branches, but also underground criminal system, opposition and pro-government forces, and clans.
MP asks: comment the opposition's decision not to participate in this Q&A and vote.
Candidate Jhangiryan: I approach it philosophically. I met the two parties. The discussions took place in a very warm and friendly atmosphere.
Ind. MP: comment the rumors about mansions owned by you.
Candidate Jhangiryan: I worked as the director of "Academy 9 Cooperative" and received a 4bd apartment in Davtashen. I sold it in 1989 and used the money to destroy our old house and build a new 3-story building in place. I became a public official in December-1990 after the house was already built.
MP asks: earlier you accused this government of not doing anything to create an independent judicial system. What steps will you take to achieve that?
Candidate Jhangiryan: actually that was out-of-context, I didn't say the govt hasn't done anything. Sure, the judicial code was reformed, new rules are established for checking candidates' records, new anti-corruption institutes exist, but this takes a long time. What we need is quick action to purify the judicial system; it must be based on laws passed by you.
QP MP: March 1st trial [Kocharyan] is being delayed. People believe it's being done artificially. What can the judicial system do?
Candidate Jhangiryan: I share the concerns with you. It's been over >18 months that March 1st case is in a preliminary stage. It hasn't entered the final evidence phase. Besides the petitions to dismiss prosecutors/judges, petitions to be released on bail, we haven't seen anything else being done. I believe it's a defense tactic. It's abnormal. I don't remember any such trials in which this phase lasted over 2 months. I don't have a solution right now to expedite it, but it's a fact that it's being artificially delayed. It's a defensive tactic. It's an abuse of power. The court has the tools to prevent it.
QP MP: how come some judges give 15 years while others 10 for the same crime? Those with less money often get longer terms. There are corruption risks.
Candidate Jhangiryan: I've spoken about this discrepancy in the past. I brought comparisons between burglary-related court rulings between various regional courts. Under the same conditions, some defendants got terms that were 3 years longer. You can't solve this legislatively. It has to be defined by the Cassations Court. We will try to resolve this.
The Parliament launched a secret-ballot vote to confirm or deny the candidates. Both of them were approved: Jhangiryan 86-3, Khachatryan 85-3.

Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant renovation / Armenian and Russian officials

Russian ambassador Sergey Kopyrkin and Infrastructure Minister Papikyan visited the nuclear plant to learn about the ongoing renovation work that will extend the NPP's operational years. (renovation is being done with Russian loan, although the final part will be done with Armenian funds after Ministry found Russian loan terms unfavorable)
The NPP is preparing for the final renovation work. A system has been installed to repeatedly heat-and-cool the reactor's metal parts to make them more durable. The installation of this system has been confirmed successful and will begin the reactor's renovation process this year. This will allow the NPP to operate beyond 2026, likely until 2036. The renovation work is done by the Russian Rosatom Service.
Minister Papikyan thanked his Russian colleagues for the work and for continuing the operations during the pandemic. Minister said Armenia's main goal for the future is the construction of a new nuclear plant. (big if true)
The Russian ambassador said, "The traditions of mutual assistance, trust, and friendship determine the relations between Russia and Armenia. Nuclear energy remains a truly strategic direction for the development of our bilateral cooperation. A lot of work has been done in the last three years, made possible by Armenian and Russian experts. The NPP should continue to serve as a cheap source of energy to help the economic development."

Hundreds of cargo trucks couldn't travel between Armenia and Russia because the only land passage in Lars, Georgia was closed due to snow. Deputy Economy Minister says this will be a thing of the past if regional transport is unblocked.

My Experience getting LASIK at Shinagawa Lasik Centre in Tokyo during Covid-19

Hi first time reddit poster. I usually always check out reddit for real experiences and opinions on topics from normal people. That's how I was able to get some recommendations and research about the Shinagawa clinic in tokyo (very close to Ginza station actually). Short answer is yes I recommend the centre and got amazing results. I got the Amaris 750 Z LASIK for 260000 yen. Long answer continue reading. So I am 23 years old and I have always wanted to get Laser eye surgery since I've had bad eyes since I was in grade 3. I was short sighted and always had to wear glasses or contacts which got irritating a lot and was needing replacements every year. Before surgery my eyes were about -3.5 and -3.75 with astigmatism. In Australia LASIK can cost up to $8000 i think for both eyes so it was super expensive, that's why I knew I would be doing it overseas. After some research it was a toss up between doing it here in Japan or in South Korea. South Korea is a bit more cheaper than Japan since I'm assuming they have many clinics and experience in different types of surgery. However due to travel restrictions I wouldn't have been able to fly there and get it done so might as well do it here in Japan whilst I'm able to stay here more long term (which I recommend for post op check ups and warranty).
Shinagawa Lasik centre was one of the most popular and talked about clinics and they go through large volumes of people so they definitely have lots of experience in the field. I have not seen recent posts about people mentioning English support but they definitely have it now, from their website, inquiry form, English guide/translator and some doctors and nurses. That's what I really liked about this centre as I have basically zero Japanese skills and I had a great English guide named Richard who guided me along the way and gave me lots of clear details and was very honest about the procedure. I am unsure if each centre has their own english guide or its just Richard but at least for the Tokyo branch it seemed like it was just him, so when you're booking it also has to work with his availabilities if you want English support. It seems if you're Japanese or able to understand and speak Japanese it would be much faster and more options to set a date as there are PLENTY of staff there.
So this is my experience as a foreigner which will be much different to a Japanese person. After setting a date he will email you all the details and instructions of what to do before the appointment like stopping contact lense use few weeks before the appointment depending on the type, not wearing makeup, not eating chocolate etc.. (its all in the document they provide). So long as you follow that you won't have any issues and I just recommend not wearing anything at all on your face on the day.
Now in terms of their COVID prevention measures there is hand sanitizer at the entrance and maybe when you're trying the different glass size only. Go to the receptionist and they will give you a form in Japanese that will ask what your temperature was and a few questions about your health condition like have you travelled, have you had fever ...... the usual covid questions and you answer yes or no then sign. I think issue here is the trust in their patients to have checked their temperature and hope that they are healthy and honest. They don't check temperature there. They have air ventilation/purifier machine within the facility but no windows to actually air out. There are few waiting rooms and the chairs in the hallway are spaced out. Before using each test machine the nurse will wipe it down with alcohol and everyone including yourself will always be wearing a mask.
So I met up with Richard and he gave me 2 large forms with lots of details of what to expect, the procedure, side effects basically all the information they would tell you in paper form and you would read it and tick each section off and sign. It was great as he had written it all in English so it was clear and very detailed. Then you move to the waiting room and he continued to talk to me about the different type of tests, what to expect, what they do, the next steps. He was able to explain a lot to me which I am unsure if a Japanese person would have gotten this level of detail as they all sat in silence waiting. There is a test called Avellino Universal Test for 10000yen but is basically waived if you get the procedure done within 3 months of doing the test. The test is a screening test to identify if you have a specific genetic disorder that would lead to impairment of vision in the future and will help determine if you can or can't do LASIK. I would do the test anyways especially if you're set on getting the procedure done there as there is lower chance of having it, they only collect saliva sample and it will be waived if you get the procedure.
There was about 4 or 5 tests the typical optometrist test like look at the hot air balloon, which direction is the C, red or green. For that part the nurses can understand the basic English like right, down, 1, 2 so no issues there and just use hand gestures to help. After you get the results from all the test he will take you to a small room to discuss further about the procedure like which one he thinks he recommends, the price, technical medical info. I was recommended the 2nd most expensive option Amaris 750 Z LASIK which he said is generally the most recommended one. Since my astigmatism is a little high this option was really my only choice but luckily it was what I wanted anyways so it was fine. He said if it wasn't as high he said it'd be fine to go the cheaper option using the older machine and I was glad they weren't pushing for the most expensive one. There was an additional option called Cross Linking? which would double the price but reduced halos and created a stronger barrier around the eye but I decided to not do it. You then meet a doctor who will check your eyes very quickly and check your results and recommend you a procedure as well. This was super fast unless you have questions. You then go the front to pay which if your foreigner would be either through cash or credit card. Total cost for me was 260000 yen as I was able to use coupon (270000 yen), then same day surgery discount (10000 yen).
Then you have about a 2-3 hour break where you can go eat and explore the area and use the prescribed eye drops once during the break. Once you come back you redo the tests to ensure the results are the same and then your ready for the procedure! Whilst waiting you can try on the safety glasses which comes in 3 sizes and there are hair elastics and hair nets you use to get your hair out of the way. My main concern was that I would move my eyes too much during the procedure but with my procedure since they pretracked your eye movement and input that data into the operating machine it helps create more accurate treatment. You enter the room and a nurse puts anesthetic eye drops into your eyes a couple of times which really helped to not feel anything. It felt very fast paced as they get you to lie down and their prepping your eyes, hair and the doctor and Richard is explaining what's happening and giving you instructions. They work fast! They work on one eye at the time. First they use a tool to keep your eyes open and tape down your eyelashes so its not in the way. Some more drops are applied and the eyeballs are cleaned and then the machine is placed on top the eye. Just keep looking straight at the red dot! I can't remember the exact order of what happened but they cut the flap open and it is flipped over and then the laser works its magic. At one point you will lose vision for a few seconds and everything becomes black but it quickly comes back. When your eyes is being lasered it kind of looks like rainbow fairy lights kind of trippy. There is going to be the weird burning smell but since I was wearing a mask it didn't bother me too much. After one eye is done it is repeated on the other eye. The whole process was so fast and quick, I didn't time it but it would've definitely be under 10 min, and quicker if your eyesight isn't that bad.
I could see straight away but it was a bit of a struggle to keep my eyes open as there was a slight stinging sensation or uncomfortable feeling since theres drops in your eyes and your eyes had just been forced open, so you want to rub and touch your eyes but DON'T. I move to another room where a nurse puts more anesthetic drops in my eyes which helped a lot and I'm told to close my eyes for about 30 mins( if i can remember correctly) and sit down and rest in the room. They play soothing music so it's hard to not fall asleep. After the rest your eyes might be dry when you open it or you could tear up a bit, you get more drops, have final check with your doctor and you're sent home with 4 different eye drops and safety glasses to wear. It is recommended to not drive home yourself and to have someone to help you get home. Personally I was fine going on the train home it took bout 30 min, the anesthetic might wear off so use the anesthetic drops they give you as much as you need it, don't worry it won't run out like I was afraid it would so I didn't use it as much as I should have to help. I did and still do see halos when I looked at street lights but it doesn't bother me at all. I used the eye drops and tried to rest early.
Next day appointment was by myself since he wasn't available to join me but no worries I was able to navigate the day easily with no issues. They redo all the same tests and see what your vision is at now and I was 20/16! Btw i felt no pain next day and very light dry eyes. The doctor who checked my eyes was able to speak English and it was a very quick session again unless you have questions or complications. 1 week appointment very similar again, they check if any wrinkles have formed and the healing. If everything is all clear by 1 week you should be out of the big danger zone, but of course you should be careful not to rub your eyes roughly and follow the recommendations of what activities to wait for before doing again post surgery. I had to wear the safety glasses as much as I could including when I'm sleeping for 1 week only.
It has been about close to 1 month now and my recovery is great! I am so amazed by how quick the actual surgery and recovery is and how you can have clear vision almost immediately. I only had very slight pain after surgery like if your contacts were super dry or you got salt water in your eyes. My vision didn't fluctuate that much. Honestly my eyes aren't even that dry and eye drops helps immediately. Wearing contacts made my eyes much more dry and irritated. I've had a positive experience from LASIK and so glad I got it done.
Go to Shinagawa Lasik Centre (tokyo) if you want English support the whole process, same day surgery, fast procedure, decently priced procedures with post-op support included and be part of their referral program. Don't go there if maybe you want a clinic that is small, intimate? as in there is only one doctor a small number of staff you know of and is slow and holds your hand throughout the whole process. This centre goes through a large number of patients and there are many staff, doctors, machines there so they are very efficient. However since I had Richard who stayed by my side the whole time, even when I'm waiting it was very reassuring and I got all my information through him so spent the most time with him than I did with any doctor or nurse. As mentioned before afterwards they can help you sign up for their referral program where you can get paid money into your Japanese bank account when you refer someone and they go through with the surgery. You can get paid like around 40000 yen which is crazy depending on what your referee chooses. I was told it was like this because in Japan Laser clinics are actually not allowed to market and advertise their business so word of mouth and referrals is how they get their business around. So if you're interested in getting discount off your surgery you can DM me and I can provide you with a ticket you can show them which will give me some money only if you go through with the surgery. Afterwards you can sign up for the program too and get money back as well through referrals.
If you made it to the end of this lengthy post but still have more questions feel free to message me or I can give you the contact info of Richard if you want to ask him questions!

(Jan.5-10) Record high hospitalizations and coup attempts
The Virus Scene
Texas again saw record high covid hospitalizations on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday before drastically and falling by over 800 Sunday to a still catastrophic 13,111 due to “Reporting of hospitalizations data was significantly lower than usual for Saturday, January 9, 2021”. Texas’ remaining ICU beds fell Sunday to a record low of 508.
Texas averaged even higher deaths than last week, setting a new record of 464 on January 8th. We now have over 30,500 official covid deaths.
Texas has seen a 92% increase in new cases over the last 2 weeks while testing has declined.
The Positivity rate continued to hang around 20% all week before falling back to 19% on Sunday.
It took only 9 days into 2021 for the U.S. to see +2,000,000 new infections. According to the Covid Tracking Project, America currently has over 130,000 people hospitalized with covid.
Senator John Cornyn III announced Texas would be receiving an $89 million federal grant to improve testing. This is direly needed now that California has now run 19,000,000 more tests than Texas and New York has reported 10,000,000 more.
TXDSHS released the week 5 vaccine allocation locations here.
20/22 Trauma Service Areas are now above the right-lord Governor-King’s blessed 15% hospital capacity threshold. The remaining two TSA’s are at 14.5% and 13.38% so things are going really swell.
As I suppose will be repeated every week now;
TXDSHS is still not reporting antigen tests for counties covering millions of people; Harris, El Paso, Jefferson, McLennan, Travis, Bell, Webb, Cameron, Grayson, Wichita, Lubbock, Randall, Midland, Potter, and others.
Laredo’s covid hospitalization rate has climbed to a startling 44.5%.
TXDSHS reported 687,846 have now received their first shot and 64,000 have received both shots. This is an increase of +338,000 shots given from the previous week. The week before last saw 267,000 shots given. For anyone still on the fence about getting vaccinated when your turn arrives I advise you not to worry about vaccine unknowns - worry about covid knowns.
San Antonio announced it would be hosting a mass vaccination site at the Alamodome, the 9,000 available appointments then filled up in 6 minutes.
The United States recorded its highest number of daily covid fatalities ever last week with over 4,000 deaths. It had been hitting 3,900 in the days prior.
The first case of the U.K. strain was discovered in Harris County over the week.
A study published in JAMA network open found that an estimated 35% of American covid deaths have gone unreported.
A Brazos County man was sent to trial while infectious with covid-19 and the jurors were not informed until after deliberations ended.
The UT Covid-19 Modelling Consortium has projected that remaining ICU beds in and around Austin will be depleted in the coming weeks. Dr. Mark Escott, Travis County health authority, stated it would be about January 15th.
The CDC found that more than half of covid spread is due to asymptomatic people.
Fifty-nine percent of all transmission came from people without symptoms, under the model’s baseline scenario. That includes 35 percent of new cases from people who infect others before they show symptoms and 24 percent that come from people who never develop symptoms at all.
The CDC also announced there was a good chance of a separate U.S. covid strain that was driving increases in spread and hospitalizations here that could be 50% more transmissible. They then immediately backtracked that and said they had not identified a U.S. variant. The U.S. variant claim is being pinned on Dr. Birx.
1 in 8 residents of El Paso has now been infected with the coronavirus.
The University of Texas announced it would go 100% virtual through January to deal with covid.
Trauma surgeon Dr. Brittany Bankhead-Kendall created a stir when she warned of the long-lasting lung damage from covid.
A Garden Oaks restaurant in Houston received an outpouring of support after being the site of an anti-mask demonstration last weekend.
Video posted to YouTube showed several people carrying American and Trump flags, marching in front of the restaurant chanting, “Boycott Miller’s!” “I couldn’t believe it. Why are they targeting us? Is this political?” asked owner Jessica Beer, who now runs her family’s 41-year-old business. “We’ve never taken a political stance here. We sell hamburgers.”
The Department of Veteran’s Affairs reported more deaths than the Iraq and Afghanistan wars combined, now totaling over 6,772.
ICU capacity in Bryan/College Station went over 106% last week.
In actual gods-honest good news; Cason Abbott, 11, of Abeline won his battle with MIS-C and was released from the hospital.
In a new large study, 3,762 ‘long covid’ sufferers were surveyed 22% reported they were still unable to return to work due to the severity of their conditions. 45% reported reduced work hours post covid.
Roughly 65% of respondents (2,454) reported experiencing symptoms for at least six months. The most likely symptoms to persist after six months included fatigue, post-exertional malaise, cognitive dysfunction (“brain fog”), neurological sensations, headaches, memory problems, insomnia, muscle aches, palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness/balance issues, and speech and language problems. Nearly 86% of respondents experienced relapses, most commonly triggered by physical activity, stress, exercise and mental activity. Other less common symptoms…new allergies, facial paralyzes, seizures, impaired vision or hearing Memory and cognitive dysfunction, experienced by more than 85% of respondents, were the most pervasive and persistent neurological symptoms
Dr. Anothony Fauci said that he would be surprised if the new South African covid strain is not already in America.
Dr. Peter Hotez,co-director of the Center for Vaccine Development at Texas Children’s Hospital, said he is conducting research to neutralize a new South African Covid-19 variant and called on the U.S. to quicker identify mutant strains. This echoes concerns from other national healthcare officials saying the U.S. is blind to new variants with no serious system in place to identity strains.
Two members of our community created websites contributing greatly to the Texas covid fighting efforts over the week.
u/cutestain created the crowdsourced Covid-19 Vaccine Texas site where users can input what stage of vaccinations their local pharmacy is in, where people have successfully been able to find them, and receive alerts on when it becomes available in their area. It even got some news coverage.
u/shiruken created the Texas COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker which nicely graphs the vaccinations performed.
A new study led by Timothy Callaghan, assistant professor at the Texas A&M University School of Public Health, found that 31% of the U.S. public do not intend to get vaccinated against covid-19.
Austin teacher Annie Dragoo was denied medical accommodation for her health issues in the upcoming semester so her students raised the money to purchase her the BioVyzr air-purifying shield.
Houston Methodist Hospital began offering $500 bonuses to healthcare workers who receive a covid vaccine.
The Moderna CEO claimed their vaccine will likely provide protection for a least a couple of years and a study was released that suggests the Pfizer vaccine offers some protection from the U.K. and South African strains of covid.
A couple of notable Texas covid fatalities last week;
Kileen Councilman and Vietnam War veteran, Jim Kilpatrick.
We learned the value of earning what you worked for. Your word is a reflection of who you are, and how you treat others is exactly how you were treated,” he said in November. “I think it helped us out greatly. It instilled into you a tremendous sense of, ‘You get what you work for.’ - Jim Kilpatrick
The Mayor of Groveton, Texas, Byron Richards.
“He cared a great deal about the city,” Bennett said. “He placed the city and its projects above himself. "He will be dearly missed,” Trinity County Judge Doug Page said.
The Political Scene
SouthEast Texas GOP Representative and South Dakota’s most lethal blobgoblin Kevin Brady announced his covid positive test over the week. This was particularly notable because he fell in the tier of 1A frontline healthcare workers who had already gotten their first vaccine shot in mid-December. Which, of course, does not confer full protection until 2 weeks post the second dose. He will likely be seen trying to steal someone’s healthcare or precious over the matter.
38 State Representatives called on Governor-King Abbott to improve Texas’ vaccine distribution plan to move up frontline workers like teachers and grocery workers. There is no evidence he rolled up the letter and smoked it, but he probably did.
The most striking news of the week was of course the insurrection at the Capitol by a convergence of Trumpists that ranged from QAnon crowd to the Infowars crowd to generally deranged imbeciles. Who could have seen such a thing coming?
It is not known if anyone asked the Qanon Shaman his stance on a federal mask mandate.
The Texas Republican Seargent at Arms Walter West had to be fired for supporting the insurrectionists on Facebook.
"You Accepted ANTIFA burning down your cities... Now Deal with them taking back OUR HOUSE,"
A North Texas lawyer, Paul Davis, was also immediately fired for taking part in the capitol insurrection.
A Texas Air Force Combat Veteran retired Lieutenant Colonel Larry Rendall Brock, Jr was also among the insurrectionists who breached the Senate.
While the lawmakers were hunkered down in the bunker Texas Rep. Michael Cloud and other Republicans refused to put on masks when offered.
Texas’ most powerful Criminal Ken Paxton told supporters to ‘keep fighting’ once the capitol was breached. Then once it was clear the insurrectionists would not usurp the entire government, Ken backtracked and claimed those capitol insurrectionists were actually Antifa and liberals.
“These are not Trump supporters,” - Kenny P.
So the next couple of weeks of the Trump administration will probably continue going great.

Lightheadedness for 3 days now

[age][sex] 35M
[height] 5' 5"
[weight] 150-160 lb.
[race] Asian
[symptoms] It started two days ago. I was fine when I got out of bed, cleaned up, made food and sat down at my computer to start a self paced course. After sitting down I started to get what felt like brain fog, that I realized was lightheadedness later on that did not go away. I could not focus on the course. Later on during the first night, I got what I believe is a tension headache (was playing a computer game with a frustrating level that I really wanted to beat) which I sometimes do get when I don't eat enough or overheat. I went to bed earlier than usual because of the combination of the lightheadedness and headache (slowly dissipated by the time I got into bed.) No fever?
After waking during the second day, the lightheadedness resumed as soon as I got out of bed. I don't notice the lightheadedness when I lay in bed. I noticed that my taste had changed in a way that you know that you are sick. No metallic taste. I could taste food fine but sometimes when you're sick your taste changes. I did not notice any other symptoms. Throughout the day and night, the lightheadedness and odd taste continued. I drank/ate some fresh ginger tea and also drank some chamomile tea. No fever?
Today is the third day. I felt mostly fine in bed but when I got out of bed the lightheadedness returned. I noticed that my taste is almost completely normal. There have not been any other symptoms yet that I've noticed. I am sort of avoiding warming my body up too much (or any exertion) as I feel that would cause me to have a headache (I feel on the verge of the tension headache I had the day before.) I have not taken any medicine besides a couple sprays of Flonase since my right sinus was stuffed earlier. Edit: No fever? My two back neck muscles are warm and tense. I noticed that my lymph nodes under my jaw on the right, are a bit warm, tender, swollen.
Edit: [Day 4] Still have lightheadedness. Body prefers warmth now. Somewhat difficult to warm up.
[About myself] I avoid going outside due to the pandemic. I try to treat everything touched by other people as contaminated and try to wash my hands after every contact. Sometimes I order food or items to be delivered to my home. I try to be as careful with these things as I can. I live with my uncle who is effectively my roommate, who goes out about once a week to buy groceries and tries to be safe outside. I avoid him as much as I can except when touching things around the home. I wash my hands after touching anything he may have touched.
I have had asthma when I was a child and grew out of it. I also had constant ear infections as a child. As I got older, sinus infections were more common until I became an adult was when almost every time I got sick, it was a sinus infection of some sort. I got sick often as a child and even now, my immune system may not be the best. Pretty much every year, I get a sinus infection around winter time. No matter what kind of sickness has been going around with other people, be it the flu or strep throat, I would almost always get a sinus infection instead of those sickness and the severity and symptoms would vary.
I have been eating healthy recently and started to exercise more recently, about 3 times a week at home. Prior to that I was only exercising about once a week. I gained some weight from the lockdown. Everyday, I use a saline/xylitol solution with purified bottled water from Costco to rinse and moisten my sinuses to help prevent sinus infections and because the air is dry here. I do not take any kinds of medicine other than the Flonase about once a month (I think I'm out now.)
On the day the first symptoms showed up or the day before the symptoms, I had some warm water from the faucet go up my right nostril accidentally when I was washing my face. I've been afraid of getting naegleria fowleri (brain eating amoeba) for some time. What's been worrying me is that these symptoms I have not had before, the lightheadedness by itself and worrying that I might have been infected by naegleria fowleri. Worrying about such a thing can cause the nocebo effect. It might be that I am reacting differently to covid if I do have it or it is a different kind of sinus infection that I am having or a head cold. When I get a sinus infection, I usually get the other symptoms that accompany it to varying degrees.
Thank you for your time and thank you for reading through all this! I appreciate any thoughts, opinions and advice.

Landlord switched building policy to allow pets // I have chronic and severe allergies & asthma

I probably have to preface this by explaining how bad my allergies are, because I'll probably just seem like a picky douchebag if i don't; I can't attend my family's Thanksgiving because my aunt has a dog, and if I drive there, my eyes will swell shut, preventing me from driving home. As a child, I was hospitalized multiple times due to anaphylaxis from being in a space with a dog or having one brush up against me. Hopefully that will help explain why I'm having so much trouble in my situation.
The first and foremost requirement of any living space I (23M/from Indiana) occupy is that there are/have been no animals hosted in the building. I will literally live in the most desolate dungeon if it's all that is available exclusive to humans. I LOVE animals, but being in the same building as them will cause my airways to inflame & I have to take two or three relatively expensive medications to alleviate any problems they cause.
When I came to my current landlord (PRIOR to signing the lease), I asked him multiple times to ASSURE me that there were no pets allowed anywhere in the complex (especially since the building has one laundry machine shared by 6 separate units). He very confidently assured me that under no circumstances were any animals allowed in the building and pointed out that this clause was included in the lease agreement. In addition he led me to believe that the same clause was present on the lease agreements of all neighbors across from/above my apartment.
Great! I have secured a residence that is affordable and more importantly a residence where I'll be able to breathe and sleep without worrying about itchy eyes, rashes, or suffocation. Immediately upon moving in I noticed that I was having more trouble breathing than when I was living at home - okay... I thought. Must just be the dust? I'll clean and it will go away. I am a clean person and I wiped the floor and every single surface the same as I would have at my former apartment maintenance job. This was to no avail, but I figured that the allergies I was dealing with were entirely manageable if I took just the basic allergy medication.
The real first problem though was when I washed my clothes for the first time in the shared laundry. While living at my old complex, I had to drive 10 minutes away just to do laundry & was thrilled that I had a laundry unit right outside of my front door (the complex shares one large stairwell, three floors with two units per floor). Both me & my girlfriend (who also has a cat allergy) noticed that our clothes were giving us prickling pain and rashes when we put on tight clothes. Come to find out that there was a cat owner living across the hall from us and he had just done a load prior to our washing.
So, I started driving across town to do laundry. I figured, whatever, the rent is cheap. I'll deal with it and keep up with my basic medication. This should have been where the story ended, but within another week of living at the apartment I saw a woman leashing a 50 pound Pit bull mutt up to her room. When I asked her about it, she told me that the landlord had given her permission to have the dog so long as she pays a $300 fine and $30 a month of upkeep fees.
Interesting? At this point I was certainly feeling defrauded. My landlord was not only going against his very word, but also (as far as I am aware) breaking the contract to which we are both bound. Another week goes by, and a second dog appears across the hallway from me. Two dogs and a cat located both across the hallway and above me with shared laundry in a tight space (these aren't luxury apartments). Since then, I have had to start taking two separate medicines which I have been off of for several years that cost about $6500 per year (before insurance) just to keep my body from shutting down. (Just as a note, I probably won't die if I don't take the medication, but it will seriously alter my ability to perform basic tasks such as driving, cooking, sleeping, etc.) note: To make sure I wasn't crazy, I have slept upstairs in her apartment several times and noticed a great reduction in my allergic response (she has no neighboring animals).
So I contact the landlord. I essentially say 'look - I feel totally defrauded, my body is in massive pain and I'm paying a lot of money just to maintain basic comfort and health'. His response? "There was a cat when you moved in and you didn't bring up any problems". When asked "What about the contract?", he responded that the building policies had to be adjusted to accommodate the 'wishes of other renters' due to COVID and further stated that the lease contract only applies to my room and not the rest of the building. Since then, his only attempt at reconciling the situation has been to replace a $10 furnace filter. He will not let me terminate my lease without forcing me to give up my security deposit and pay an extra month of rent. He has left me on read after I implored him to purchase an air purifier with the $900 + $90/month he's getting from the pet-owning tenants.
In summation, I believe that he defrauded me/is violating my right to habitable living conditions and reasonable accommodations due to my asthma and allergies. If he can't provide reasonable accommodations, I would at least hope he would let me terminate my lease without all the accompanying fees. I believe that just because I'm a young renter (23M), he thinks he can do whatever he wants so long as he is earning a couple extra bucks without any restitution for the tenants he is damaging. Is there anything I can do which won't require me to spill big bucks on a lawyer? I just want to be able to live in my own apartment without getting sick. It doesn't help that because of COVID, I'm more or less confined to my room 24/7. Importantly, there is a clause in the lease which stipulates I must cover any legal fees he incurs if I lose in court. Do I qualify for disability accommodations under the fair housing act?
TL;DR - I have severe cat/dog allergies and my landlord changed the building policy to allow two of my immediate neighbors to own multiple pets (shared laundry) after verbal confirmation that there would be no pets allowed in the building + no pets allowed in contract.
At the link is a photo of the pet policy from my contract which the landlord led me to believe was the contract in the neighboring apartments. https://gyazo.com/b2f31bc9c9cab7d88b4998c3d9da37a7 - Thank you all in advance!

My "How to" guide on dealing with the virus Vol. 2

Let's face it, the majority of us got dealt a wild hand that doesn't make sense. We started with a mild virus teaser trailer and are now living or lived the feature- length film version of a nightmare. The problem with this virus is it can sucker punch us with 1-100 different symptoms in no particular order. Even crazier is just 1 symptom can lay us flat for the long haul.
I started out with the mild version of the symptoms in February. No hospitalization required. I had many of the starting lineup CDC symptoms plus the ones they added later: Shortness of breath, fatigue, headache, chills, diarrhea, body aches, loss of smell, swollen throat, cough, nausea, plus brain fog.
Then from the deep dark depths of the COVID sea came the convulsing chills, loss of appetite, night sweats, vivid nightmares, my first possible panic attack (pounding heart woke me up), COVID toes and blisters, blurry vision, Parkinson's type symptoms, graduating to another level of brain fog, nail and skin issues, phantom smells, muscle spasms, neuropathic sensations (numbness, tingling, buzzing, redness, twitching), heat intolerance, tachycardia, bruising, allergic reactions, hair loss, PTSD, high cholesterol, lightheadedness, high blood pressure. It was a pure, whole body system inflammatory attack for 4 months and just trying to function for 5 months after that (work, eat, sleep, rinse & repeat).
It boggles my mind how I came out of those 4 months still functioning but I think I went on survivor mode. Folks, it just goes to show how resilient we are.
My long journey was full of blind spots and scares. Here are my tips that helped me make sense and cope with what I went through. I hope you baby haulers out there don't grow into fully grown long-haulers.
REST: People aren't getting the recommended amount in their normal lives, so with this virus you're probably gonna come down with immense fatigue (bordering on narcoleptic exhaustion), so don't short change your sleep time. Your body will probably make you want to sleep for half a day and that is OK! Don't fight your body's starving-for-rest signals. I was stubborn and I pushed back at those signals because I thought "Stuff gotta get done!" It only prolonged symptoms for me. Sleep and rest ultimately restores and rebuilds your body. Work with it.
EAT: Eat veggies, fruits, & lean meats. All that stuff will be kind to your digestive system (non-inflammatory, replenishing body with essential nutrients while hydrating you, too) as I came down with some gnarly GI issues. If you can't cancel your sugars, bad carbs, and high fat processed foods, at least dial back the amount. Those foods can cause inflammation and inflammation is not good for your aches and pains, too. Everything is so connected in your body. The times I ate like crap, my body treated me like I was crap. There might even be some benefits to an anti-histamine or low acid diet, too. I even drank alkaline water! Also, I think probiotics rule as a healthy gut biome can help you win the battle.
HYDRATE: Drink water to flush out what your body is trying to get rid of. Electrolyte yourself with whatever stuff is out there (Nuun tablets, alkaline water, etc). If you are a social drinker, avoid alcohol. If you are a coffee drinker, cut it down. Alcohol and coffee dehydrate you, constrict your blood flow, and raise your heart rate. Don't beat your body while it's down. I drank alcohol (1 glass 3 different times) and paid for it each time. Plus that stuff contributes to GERD, kind of like self-inflicting yourself with gut rot.
REST Part 2: If you think you got better, don't go resuming your hurricane-force pre-virus life the next day. Your body may have given you a breather signal, a kind of eye-of-the-hurricane calmness, but be prepared for the possible aftermath. I thought I felt great one day, finally got over it, but my body was still putting out fires that I wasn't aware of. Thinking I can do things like normal turned into a type of overexertion and my body paid for it. I know it's hard to relinquish that control of needing to catch up and get back on track but ask for help, delegate chores, and ease your way back into things like exercise and break-a-sweat type cleaning. My body would have thanked me if I took it easy during what I dub the aftermath/clean-up phase. So pace yourself. Take baby steps. Whatever you wanna call it.
REST Part 3: Kiss your brain and give it a break. COVID brain is a sensitive brain, kind of like post-concussion brain. It's operating on high alert, putting out fires left and right, that's why your tired, fatigued, and having that next-level brain fog. Stuff like serotonin is being depleted. Don't drain it more by forcing yourself to do stressful stuff and thinking! Just like a concussion, it can't handle too much stimuli. Should you play multiplayer strategy video games for hours on end and live day to day like you're in an escape room? I don't know but let me know if your brain loves you or gets pissed at you. Do stuff that won't make you emotionally taxed or think too hard. That's why doing the next thing might be beneficial.
SUN & AIR: Circulate clean air in the house. Open windows, have an air purifier if it helps, change your bedding. Create your stay-cation by hanging out on your balcony, patio, or backyard if you have one. Vitamin D is good for you! This all made me feel better. Go out for a walk if you have it in you. Seeing greenery has soothing effects (if it's still in season) and seeing fauna (aka animals and insects) that doesn't remind you of COVID, will do you wonders. I learned nature has created some magnificent pieces of living artwork. Bufflehead duck anyone?
POSITIVITY: Avoid the news like death counts, daily infection rates and such. Do stuff that make you happy or take up an easy hobby. If I even had the focus, attention, and energy to watch TV or read, I watched comedies and comedy specials, and read essays from comedians. Listen to some music that makes you wanna hop around. Journal your health victories. Seek out your POSITIVE, supportive friends and family.
Realize SOCIETY can behave badly: Who hasn't faced family, friends, co-workers, and doctors who just don't get what we're going through? For some reason, people can't fathom anyone being sick for so long without visibly looking sick. If family, friends, and co-workers aren't kind or empathetic, just don't spend time with those people. It's all about surrounding yourself with a good support system. And if no one is around that understands, reach out to your workplace's possible free mental health assistance networks or if you have insurance, see if you can get a therapist referral. Or even DM people on Reddit and get some groups started. Make your community.
HEALTHCARE There might be a slight possibility that you're gonna kiss a lot of grade A-hole doctors. Change doctors if you feel you are getting worse under their care. This has been the pattern for many so expect test results to be for the most part normal... but don't think for once or believe your body is normal. We all know our pre-covid baseline. My cbc, d-dimer, chest x-ray, pulmonary function, ct lung scan, angiogram were all normal. EKG was normal except tachycardia. This virus likes to play tricks on our medical community! My doctor acknowledges it's an unpredictable virus but a good doctor will help rule out stuff first before presuming anything. Be prepared to present your concerns on paper because it can get emotional when you speak out loud what you're going through and details may get lost. Take those pictures of your rashes and skin issues. Take those videos of your thigh twitching. Such proof is better for your doctor to see and grasp. If you have SOB, expect to be prescribed inhalers that may or may not work. Expect your doctor to prescribe anti-anxiety and antidepressant meds. The longer you deal with symptoms, the more it becomes a chronic type of trauma. My doctor told me the long haul is just that and I know PTSD when I see it- me bugging out in public over medical bills. Even if you meet 1 or 2 doctors who gaslight you, still lean on your healthcare system if things aren't going well or improving, especially when it comes to breathing, severe chest pains AND altered states of mental health.
HEALTHCARE part 2 Lots of bloodwork may be done and drugs maybe prescribed but it might not hurt to ask if your basic building blocks for cellular activity are even at operating levels. Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D are often overlooked and are separate tests from your complete blood count panels. And if you have the ear of your doctor, might as well ask open-ended questions about supplements like Niacin, Zinc, Magnesium, Quercetin, Lysine, etc. "By the way, how do you think a supplement like Niacin will help me in addition to taking this drug? What kind of supplements are out there that wouldn't hurt for me to try?" This is your chance to see if your doctors are up to speed on the latest research. Journal weekly to see if the prescribed medicines and supplements are working because if you have brain fog, are you gonna remember? Concrete evidence like "Doc I've been keeping track of my progress for a month and this drug is/isn't working" will come in handy.
Hope this can help ya!
Stay strong and best wishes for a shorter recovery.
BTW, feel free to add to this!

Having trouble breathing, really need some advice

Hey all. I'm having trouble and I need some advice about what steps I should take without wasting hundreds of dollars or doing surgery.
I'm not sure when this started, but I've been having issues breathing through my nose for at least a 4-5 years. I'm 28, 5'7 and 135 lbs.
February this year it got so bad I was waking up at night unable to breathe through my nose, gasping for air. I went to my doctor and he said it was from enlarged turbanoids and told me to take Flonase, and if that didn't work, to consider surgery.
I tried the Flonase and it did not help, and to top it off I got terribly sick with a respiratory illness for three months a month after starting it (March 13), and to this day I still need a puffer for excersize induced asthma from that... It was likely covid, but who knows.
Anyway, this whole time my nose has been bugging me. They feel dry but like I can't breathe well if at all. I have a warm-mist humidifier now I clean regularly.
I just woke up at 3am from terrible sinus pain/full/tightness feeling, migraine etc.
I'm thinking it may be environmental, I live in an old dusty, moldy house with a cat. Before I invest in a HEPA vacuum does anyone have any advice?
Should I try dietary measures first or last? I'm vegan but eat a lot of sugar, nightshades and gluten, and I have no other physical issues :)
I tried a neti with distilled water and their saline solution, no help. I'm getting a xylitol spray to see in case my issue is bacterial I guess... I was sweeping and cleaning done carpets today which is why I'm thinking mold/allergies. We don't have a HEPA, just a shop vac.
How do people in humid or dusty countries have an easier time... I'm frustrated that my body is unable to deal : P
Should I wait until my dr can take another look (probably a couple of months from now due to lockdown) or do an allergy test? Should I try taking an allergy pill and see what happens or will it just make me feel bad for no reason? Should I do an anti mold smoke? Jury-rig a HEPA to a box fan? Buy an air purifier? Should I get some quercetin?
I just feel like there are so many possibilities and I'm not sure where to start.
Anyone else feel crazy and obsessive over this? It reminds me of how I felt when I had bedbugs jfc...

How a DM split a party into two camps and almost ruined D&D.

It's a long one, ladies and gentleman, 2k words, so bear with me as I describe this story.
Allow me to tell you a story, a story of a horrible DM, horrible world, horrible plot and the team LHS. It all started fairly innocently, when a player and a rather experienced DM wanted to continue his campaign, after Covid situation. There were already 3 players there, so he invited me and a friend of mine. I was playing Halfling Druid, while my sister was playing a Changeling Bard. We also had a Human Paladin, Tabaxi Rogue and… Half-Elf Rogue, who I am going to refer to as ‘M’ from now on. It’s important, trust me.
Anyway, when I first sent my character to the DM, he introduced us to his world, which was basically ‘everyone is miserable and so are you’. My character initially had a hermit background, so they could make some healing potions. However, the DM ruled that the goodberry didn’t get rid of hunger and only healed. Alright, I was disappointed, since that wasn’t established anywhere and argued with the man. He also nerfed the spell ‘create water’ and ‘purify food and drink’. This right here was the first red flag. So, I switched to outlander, just so I can provide food and water, but no, I had to roll d4 separately for food and water. Second red flag. It applied to other characters as well, we used point-buy, which considering the difficulty of all the encounters, was barely enough. The bard rolled for stats, had slightly higher, the DM lowered them and so on and so forth.
It only got worse from there. Basically, we couldn’t provide food for ourselves, but had to buy it at exuberant prices (4 GP for 1 RATION). Suffice to say, it was a miserable experience. This is the kind of campaign that makes Stradh look decent. It was sadistic to it’s core. And the worst part of it? We had 2 new players that had almost no experience in D&D before that. In fact, one of the players told me that she was so angry after her first session (the human paladin being thrown into jail for and I quote ‘sitting at the stairs, because half-elf rogue ‘M’ killed a beast man and she wanted to examine the corpse’) that she almost quit D&D right there and then.
Thankfully, I was able to DM a campaign of my own and two other players made their own campaigns as well, that way we could rotate and not be forever DM. That helped quite a bit, as I proved D&D could be fun, we actually played Ghosts of Saltmarsh and while it wasn’t perfect (It was my second campaign), it didn’t cause nearly as much trauma and grief as the one that I am talking about.
So, after my halfling druid was left to wildshape only, we went around the valley to save it (it was in a valley). And let me tell you, it was just as miserable as the rest of it. Fights were hard, we were often knocked out and the rewards were miserable. We didn’t enjoy it, me, the human paladin and the changeling bard, not in the slightest. This was bad enough by itself, but then the DM made it worse, how you may think? Well, allow me to introduce to you half-elf rogue ‘M’. He was an okay guy around the table, but his character… you know how they write about first edgy rogues? Yeah, he was the embodiment of that.
Half-elf rogue M was atrocious, so much so, I was hoping he would die and even suggested it to other players. He never interacted with anyone, only had a ‘blank stare of a dead fish’, killed bandits, tortured them, was happy letting a necromancer use them to make more zombies to protect the valley, stole from others, etc. The best part? He said he was chaotic neutral, which is pure bullshit as far as I am concerned. In fact, I was pretty sure he was chaotic evil.
And to make things worse half-elf rogue M’s backstory was directly tied to our changeling bard, who was forced to interact with that guy. The changeling bard tried, so many times, used healing words to get him up, tried to be a good teammate. The reward? Not even a single bloody thank you.
Now, half-elf rogue M was a pain in the ass, we hated him already, especially after our human paladin died and he said quote ‘You should have stuck to the plan!’. Me, the halfling druid and the changelling bard tried to save our paladin, as we charged into battle, but it was too late, so the DM pulled out some asspull to keep our human Paladin alive. At that point, the changeling bard player changed a character into human divine soul sorcerer, just so they wouldn’t have to deal with half-elf rogue M. The worst part of it? THE STORY REVOLVED AROUND half-elf rogue M AND THE DM’S WORLD. Seriously, me, the halfling Druid, the changeling bard (later human divine soul sorcerer) and human paladin weren’t players, we were pieces.
The story of the world could easily be solved by a level one party of clerics, so the DM had to change everything up. He basically combined D&D and Warhammer 40k into one giant abomination. We were forced to listen to massive info dumps that added nothing to the story, care about the valley, when most of us wanted to leave (we couldn’t, the DM railroaded us into helping our two rogues who became best buddies). We hated it, we hated it so much, we were ready to quit and I wanted to do nothing more than that.
There were many more bad moments, like when we had to fight an air elemental on level 2, when we were forced to care about some stupid tribe of idiots, who saved the world from primordial evil, just horrible. We were supposed to save that damn valley, whether we liked it or not. Too many red flags to count. Oh, I almost forgot about a bandit npc, who had their hands cut off and was lobotomized, but the DM didn’t want us to be able to help him in any way and pushed us to help our brain dead rogues.
This is where team LHS comes into play, it stands for Love, Healing and Support. Basically, me, the halfling druid, the human paladin and the human sorcerer supported each other. Healing spirit on our human Paladin, Bless from our human sorcerer, Smites from our Paladin. The campaign improved slightly upon that, though, it was still a polished turd at best. Regardless, at one point in the past, our two rogues left us and stole 200 GP, which was massive in this campaign. We were level 4 and we had almost no money, nothing of value, etc.
And then… we were forced to follow after our two rogues to rescue their assess (we only wanted to save an NPC with them). I, halfling druid, used my giant spider form to rescue them, what happened? Nothing. Not even a single thank you, just a quick hello from tabaxi rogue. And you know what comes here? Half-elf rogue M’s character development, or so he claimed. Basically, half-elf rogue M, who was nothing more than a giant asshole for 95% of the campaign decided to change after his backstory goal was finished. And his first sentence? ‘half-elf rogue M seems abashed.’
That’s all that he did. That’s the entire development, it was terrible. Now, there were other things I forgot, so here are some honorary mentions, before the grand finale: Exploding Pigs that gave us a level of ‘distortion’, which was nothing more but exhaustion. In order to avoid that we had to make a con saving throw with a DC of 20!!! That’s as much as CR 19 monster requires, we were level 4 at that time, after several weeks of anguish.
I, the halfling druid, in the form of a Giant Spider created bridges for our team to cross over, so that we didn’t have to get into water, which would have given us even more levels of exhaustion, DC 20 Con Saving Throw. Half-elf rogue M and Tabaxi rogue didn’t do anything of value at that point and this is where things went to shit tier garbage. We were fighting shadows and beast men, so as usual, I , the halfling druid, wildshaped, to be able to stand and fight. Since we got a surprise round, we decided to attack an enemy that looked similar to witcher 3 ‘leszy’, I believe. Yeah, it wasn’t an enemy. We wasted a crit, a divine smite and 63 damage on a piece of wood with no stats, because we ‘didn’t make a perception check’! Now, back to shadows.
Shadows are only CR ½, but they are absolutely terrifying enemies. First they have got resistance to all but radiant damage basically. Then there is their attack. That thing drains your strength and if you drop to 0, you die instantly. There is no saving throw, nothing. Me, the halfling druid, and the human divine soul sorcerer still have got nightmares after a previous fight with them. Well, since I, the halfling druid, was in the wildshape, I should be safe, shouldn’t I? WRONG. The DM ruled that strength reduction carried over and I died instantly, or at least, that’s what should have happened. However, he ruled that I was to make a death saving throw.
At that point, I, the halfling druid was pissed, I didn’t care about my character, about this whole campaign and delivered a speech I planned to use for the grand finale. It basically smeared all over our rogues, the world, everything that transpired and the only reason that I stuck for now is so that other two players don’t have to deal with this bullshit alone. So, yeah, to my DM, please never make another campaign for anyone, you sadistic piece of shit.
Update: The group fell apart, after Half-Elf rogue was ignored and wasn't in the spot light anymore.
PS: Here are some honorary mentions of the ‘good’ things that happened in our campaign, for what it’s worth.
-Our party split into two, a few sessions ago, they were having their own adventures and we were forced to follow them because of ‘plot’ on separate sessions for both groups. Honestly, it was better for both groups, since we (halfling druid, human sorcerer and human paladin) got along quite well with each other and we didn’t have to endure half-elf rogue ‘M’ or Tabaxi rogue.
-On the first session, the changeling bard played a song to goats, who relaxed and were happy.
\The time when our trio (humam sorcerer, halfling druid, human paladin) fought some enemies. I casted healing spirit (slightly homebrewed), sorcerer cast healing word and our paladin smited. Even when the paladin fell on his turn, he was swiftly brought back by our healing and support.
-Spider Climb, spider time. The last session, which I , the halfling druid, used to full extent. Sure I got one level of exhaustion, but I brought a mcguffin and saved our team a lot of trouble with my web, stealth and climbing abilities, not that the rogues cared about that.
-The speech I, the halfling druid, delivered at the very end, which both human Sorcerer and human Paladin enjoyed. The DM commended my speech, not that I care about that. He didn’t seem to realize that I was criticizing his world and dming abilities.
-The Giant frog that almost ate half-elf rogue ‘M’, but just as it was leaving with our half-elf rogue in it’s mouth, nat 20 on smite. Pity, but at least we got a good laugh, as my character, the halfling druid, in the dire wolf form ran up to the body of the frog and the half-elf rogue. The DM asked, ‘What do you want to do?’. And I replied: ‘I save the Frog’s corpse.’ He: ‘Uh… you sure about that?’. Me: ‘I would like to rescue the body of the frog, yes.’ The only reason half-elf rogue ‘M’ was rescued was because of the tabaxi rogue, who simped for him.
-Now the rogues are mad, they don’t get aid, bless, healing word, anything at all. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW!!!
PPS: And here are some quotes from our campaign:
1.half-elf rogue ’M’: “At least our bard will be useful!”
-He constanly bashed our changeling bard for ‘not being useful enough’. And that’s after he rode to the battle on me, halfling druid, in the form of a giant hyena, sent healing words and casted inflict wounds. There were other spells, like dissonant whispers or faerie fire.
2.half-elf rogue M: ‘Where is ‘the bard’?!’
After the changeling bard left and the human sorcerer arrived.
Human Paladin: ‘In the arse!’
  1. Half-elf rogue M: “I don’t trust you!”
-He said that to our human sorcerer, after the changeling bard left.
Human Sorcerer: ‘I don’t care that you don’t trust me :)’
  1. Well, not exact quote, but it went something like this:
The changeling Bard = would you like to talk?
half-elf rogue M: ‘Will you stop talking to me if I say yes?’
The changeling Bard: ‘Well, we have got some time to spare.’
M: “I don’t want to talk to you.”
Bard being nice. Rogue = >:(((

For Karan, even without randomized, controlled trials to prove that portable air cleaners help prevent COVID-19, it's a simple calculation for most people who aren't completely isolated. How well air purifiers work against COVID-19 remains to be seen. "We want to be clear that at this time, no portable air purifier manufacturer has been able to test against the COVID-19 virus Can an air purifier kill coronavirus? No. But Consumer Reports' experts explain how an air purifier could help protect your family if someone at home is sick with COVID-19. But if a HEPA system is run over a period of time, it can take out a big chunk of viruses — somewhere in the high ninetieth percentile (99.94 to 99.97%). And long enough exposure to the UV light in an air purifying device can disable some viruses, including COVID-19. Air purifiers can be a helpful tool to use in homes and confined indoor spaces because they increase air circulation, which introduces fresh air into a space while removing potentially Using an air purifier can boost that exchange rate up to six exchanges per hour — cleaning the air about every 10 minutes. When used properly, air purifiers can help reduce airborne contaminants including viruses in a home or confined space. However, by itself, a portable air cleaner is not enough to protect people from COVID-19. When used along with other best practices recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, operating an air cleaner can be part of a plan to protect yourself and your family. Do air purifiers actually work to filter out the SARS-CoV-2 virus? Yes and no, but mostly no from a practical point of view depending on how you use it. Let’s take the most basic question first, can a good HEPA filter in an air purification system filter out viral particles and remove them from the air? The answer is clearly yes. When used properly, air cleaners and HVAC filters can help reduce airborne contaminants including viruses in a building or small space. By itself, air cleaning or filtration is not enough to protect people from exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19. To answer the question in the most basic terms: yes, air purifiers generally filter particulate out of the air effectively -- especially if they use a HEPA filter (more on those in the next...
